Energetic, adventurous and otherwise happy, all inherent parts of her personality, Jenny Walsh has lived a life of plans yet unfulfilled, she a children's books story editor who aspires to write her own stories. When her sister Meg announces that she and her fiance Tony are getting married in one month's time in a destination wedding at the Ice Hotel with Jenny as the maid of honor, Meg believes she can at least assist in one of Jenny's other unfulfilled items, namely to be married herself, by setting her up with the widowed best man, travel company owner Craig. Jenny wants no part of a set-up, that is until she meets Craig and his adolescent daughter, Sara, the entire package to which she is indeed attracted. The problem about which Tony didn't even know until Craig arrived at the hotel is that in addition to Sara, Craig has brought Lana Devereaux, a proverbial plus one, to the festivities, Lana about who no one knew even existed in his life. While Lana makes it clear that she sees this getaway as a romantic one for two whenever possible in her goal of becoming Craig's next wife, Jenny, in her continued feelings for Craig and Sara, wants to find out how Craig sees his life with Lana, especially with regard to Sara, Jenny not wanting to upset the apple cart regardless in respect of Lana who has her own dreams.
