Werner Schroeter - Tag der Idioten (1981)

The film follows Anna, a fragile and emotionally fractured young woman caught between mental illness, social alienation, and a desperate search for love. After suffering a psychological breakdown, Anna is committed to a psychiatric institution, where she encounters a rigid, dehumanizing system marked by control, emotional coldness, and power imbalance-one that worsens rather than heals her condition.
