Carmen Uranga is a middle-aged Argentine woman who after living many years in Madrid returns to Buenos Aires to assist her sick dying father. Her sister Ana is a lawyer in charge of managing family inheritance. Once at home, she relives the trauma of when she was imprisoned because of her political ideas. During the ten months of prison she was raped and forced to give birth to a child who was later given up for adoption.
