The Neighbor

When Doina, a pathologically litigious 55-year-old woman obsessed with absolute silence, moves into an otherwise ordinary apartment building, the residents find themselves under attack - their lives transformed into an absurdist nightmare. Led by Andrei, a mild-mannered math teacher reluctantly pushed into action, the neighbors band together in a series of desperate, increasingly unhinged attempts to restore harmony. But with every group meeting, hallway intervention, or legality exploited, Doina tightens her grip as the building descends into orchestrated chaos. As the tenants grow desperate and paranoia spreads like mold through the walls, the line between victim and villain begins to blur. Vecina is a hysterical portrait of life in a Romanian apartment block - a place where absurdity is routine, justice is homemade, and silence comes at a cost.
