Naina Kumari is jailed for a theft she did not commit and lodged in women's cell.Which also has a senior jail mate Manju serving life imprisonment for killing a young couple, which she denies.Manju shares a romantic relationship with a low rank cop Shambunath Mishra whose son never returned after settling in US. An honest and strict jailer Prakash Singh takes charge of the jail and warns everyone that whatever is happening in jail over the years won't happen in his tenure.A criminal Keshav brother of politician is lodged in the same jail in male section and starts to eye Naina and also physically assaults senior inmates.Prakash Singh cant take this and wacks him black and blue.
