Eager to continue a fishing holiday in Marseille with inspector Tarconi, Frank Martin passes transporting passes delivering a car to a young colleague, only to find him fatally shot, crashed into Frank's home, with a contrary female passenger. Customer Johnson and his goons won't accept Frank's renewed refusal, fitting him and Valentina with explosive bracelets, forcing them to stay near the car, hence bickering aboard as her irresponsible Ukrainian nightclubber hedonism clashes with his dry pragmatism.
