Failed Copenhagen Chef goes to Italy to sell estate of his estranged father, also a famous Chef, in order to get out of debt in Denmark. In Italy the Danish Chef finds a different way of living, in contact with employees, friends, natural produce, fresh cheese and olive oil. The first fifteen minutes, that is, everything before the opening credits is unnecessary trash. The actor playing Theo, the estranged son, is the wrong person for this role. The others are perfectly cast, but depend on a weak script for their roles. This movie could be successfully remade with a new lead and the rest of the cast, using a tighter, revised script. Bringing depressing thoughts and attitudes from urban Denmark to rural Italy is a bad idea for any movie, as demonstrated by this one.
