In the dead of night, a troubled young couple, James Hoyt and Kristen McKay, arrives at the Hoyts' secluded summer home after attending a friend's wedding reception. Suddenly, a menacing knock at the front door shatters the silence, disturbing the already tense atmosphere in the house. Now, an ominous female figure stands on the ill-lit doorstep, persistently asking for someone they do not know.
