Two couples rent a dream house on the Pacific coast over the Internet for a weekend. A fling becomes the quartet's undoing. Because a stranger has filmed everything. The misstep could be exposed and destroy relationships forever. The web of the unknown suspense tightens inexorably. The total idyll becomes a total nightmare in this American suspense thriller about a fateful weekend. Charlie (Dan Stevens) and Mina (Sheila Vand) run a small company together. They have just successfully completed a deal. They decide to celebrate with their partners and treat themselves to a little time out. For the weekend, they rent a dream villa on the west coast of the USA via the Internet, where deep forests meet the cliffs of the Pacific. Charlie takes his wife Michelle (Alison Brie) with him, Mina her boyfriend Josh (Jeremy Allen White) and Reggie, Josh's dog. Josh is Charlie's brother, and the men are very different. While Charlie is in the fast lane both professionally and personally, Josh seems to be one of those people who can't score in any area of life. It seems all the more surprising to Charlie that Josh has won Mina over. When the house is handed over by the seemingly strange caretaker Taylor (Toby Huss), supposedly the owner's brother, an argument almost breaks out between him and Mina. She accuses Taylor of being a racist and not renting the house to her because of her foreign name, whereas Charlie was able to rent it on the first booking attempt. Once Taylor has left the property, the four's weekend finally seems to be in calmer waters. But the night changes everything: unnoticed by Michelle and Josh, Charlie and Mina have sex in the shower. The attraction and the opportunity were there. They both agree that it should remain a one-off slip-up that they will keep to themselves. A short time later, Mina notices a camera in the shower head. Obviously the escapade was filmed. The whole house is wired and equipped with sophisticated surveillance technology. Nothing remains hidden from the person who had the installations carried out or possibly did them themselves. The four suspect the strange caretaker. They want to stay one more night and then leave their weekend home. When Michelle brings Taylor back to the house to repair the broken hot tub, events escalate. What the four of them don't know: A murderer hiding his face behind a latex mask is targeting them. Taylor becomes his first victim.
