Remember those halcyon childhood days at the seaside or fairground, when a trip to the amusement arcade was, well, amusing? - These days the amusement arcades are anything but; they're just full of computers cleverly designed to empty your pockets as quickly as possible. However, dedicated collectors enthusiastically hunt, rescue and restore the fun old machines we used to love, building impressive games rooms and even opening Penny Arcade Museums for us all to enjoy our misspent youth once more. Once such collector is Paul Mitchell, from near the seaside town of Clacton-on-Sea in Essex. Standing at 100 machines in a purpose-built private arcade at the bottom of his garden, Paul's is one of the most impressive games rooms in the UK. As well as looking at all his machines, how they play and how they work, we talk to Paul about his decades of tracking down and restoring these rare games back to their full glory, to once again amuse us like they did well over half a century ago.
