The Lightning Tree

A forlorn young man of the reigning Tokugawa family comes across a mountain girl called Rai by a special tree called Raiou in the mountain. The tree is a symbol given how it sprouts blossoms despite beings truck by lightning and torn asunder. The young man and woman are from the opposite ends of the social spectrum and upbringing yet are attracted to one another. There is something else though.
