Plot:
Teleportation has always been considered the holy grail of science. Brilliant physicist Seth Brundle believes he is on the verge of a breakthrough; after all, he has successfully teleported inanimate matter from point A to point B through his innovative telepods. However, living tissue is an entirely different thing; Brundle's incomplete machine still cannot handle flesh and blood effectively. If only Seth could crack the code. As the inquisitive scientific journalist Veronica Quaife pushes for results and a cover story in Particle magazine, Brundle decides to cut corners and test the disintegrator/integrator device on himself. But being dismantled atom by atom and then reassembled with seemingly flawless accuracy is one thing; keeping uninvited guests from joining the experiment is another. With insect DNA irrevocably spliced into his human genome, is the world ready for what Seth Brundle is becoming?
