Plot:
Considered a bank robbery mastermind, Will Montgomery has just finished an eight year sentence for a $10 million New Orleans bank heist, he not having given up his three accomplices Vincent Kinsey, Donald Hoyt and Riley Simms, the latter the only one he would now trust in he having shot Kinsey in the leg in the process of the robbery to prevent him from making the then bad situation worse, and Hoyt, behind the wheel of the getaway van, the one making the unilateral decision to abandon Will when it looked like the FBI, who were monitoring their goings-on, were going to nab them. He had also not given up the location of the money, he, in reality, having destroyed it in understanding his situation being far worse if he was caught with it. Will just wants to reconcile with his now fifteen year old daughter Alison who he had always doted on but now who may not forgive him in his "abandonment". He learns that Riley has gone straight tending bar at a police joint, but that Hoyt is down and out in not having Will to lead them, and that Vince, who lost the shot leg, died a few years earlier. It is thus shock when he learns that Alison has been kidnapped by a still alive and bitter Vince, who faked his own death, and who, working as a cabbie under an assumed name, has her locked in the trunk of his cab as he drives around town. The ransom: not just his cut of the $10 million, but the entire kit and kaboodle, he unaware that the money no longer exists. As he tries to inform the FBI of the situation without success as Vince is officially dead, Will has to try to find Vince to save Alison. If he is unable to do so while FBI agents Harlend and Fletcher are monitoring his every move, Will has a Plan B: somehow to come up with $10 million which he will only be able to do if he is able to convince Riley to come out of retirement.
