Plot
Storyline
Nick Peters refuses an inheritance from his estranged father until his mom and crush Cassie convince him to visit the cabin. Their journey north leads them to face a legendary American monster.
In a small, working-class town, our young hero Nick Peters lives with his mother, Kate. Kate struggles to make ends meet yet insists that Nick socks his money away in order to eventually get to college. Nick's life is tossed upside down when he finds out that his long-lost father has left him his entire estate, including a secluded cabin in the woods. Wanting nothing to do with his father, Nick initially refuses the estate. After some encouragement from both his mother and a co-worker crush, Cassie, Nick decides to go. Perhaps most encouraging to Nick is the fact that Cassie offers to make the trip with him. Nick and Cassie enter another world as they travel to the deep northern woods and encounter a horror, that, until now, has only been a myth. America's monster comes to life in SQUATCH.
