Spirited Away

Annoyed about moving to a new home, 10-year-old scaredy-cat Chihiro finds herself stuck in the leather back seat of her parents' car while en route to an unknown neighbourhood. However, today, of all days, the girl's father is feeling adventurous. As a result, he takes a shortcut through a dense forest. And one fine summer day like no other, a strange, mystical wind pulls the family into a mournful town--an ethereal place balancing somewhere between reality and fantasy, the natural and the supernatural. Now, separated from her mum and dad, Chihiro has no choice but to pluck up the courage she never knew she had to find a way out. It sounds impossible, but for the first time in her life, Chihiro must confront her fears and the grotesque, menacing shadows hiding from the light.
