Plot:
Twelve-year-old Simon lives in a modest residential complex in the valley below an upscale ski resort in the Swiss Alps. While tourists enjoy the mountains' luxury, Simon secretly rides the cable cars up to the resort, stealing skis, gloves, and other equipment from the wealthy visitors. He then sells these items back in the valley to survive and support his unstable and unreliable older sister, Louise. Although Louise is expected to be the more responsible one, Simon takes on the role of breadwinner, managing the money and organizing their daily lives. As Simon's risky thefts increase and the emotional distance between the two siblings grows, the film gradually reveals a painful family secret that shatters their perception of their relationship.
