A 9 year old boy named Hal visits his father in the hospital who's about to pass away. On a pain killer called morphine. Due to the side effects, he ends up giving Hal all the wrong advice about what to look for in women for love's sake. Which then leads him to grow up focusing only on outward beauty. Eventually, he meets psychologist Tony Robbins in an elevator. Once they get trapped, Hal reports his history with dating to him. From being so shocked by his shallow methods, Tony gives Hal a special psychic power to see into people's souls if he meets them for the first time then for the remainder of his interactions with them. Which then encourages him to focus more inward on people and not judge a book by its cover.
