Gemma Bradley co-owns and co-operates an event planning company with her best friend Helen, they specializing in fun and quirky, which doesn't sit well with Gemma's hypercritical mother who thinks Gemma should and could plan more elegant higher end events. Gemma has taken herself off the dating market after a series of disastrous dates found through dating apps. And while she doesn't believe it or in it, she receives a message from a fortune teller hired for one of their events that she has to endure one last bad date when three specific signs will lead her to her true love. So when she does go on a blind date with Nick Cowan as a favor, it being arguably the worst date of her entire life, she can't help but notice those three very specific signs, immediately after which she meets a proverbial knight in shining armor. He is wealthy and well appointed Enzo Agnolotti who sweeps her off her feet, she believing he indeed meant to be her true love. But when Nick, an art museum executive, reenters her life, she can't help but second guess her presumed fate with Enzo as she and Nick make an emotional connection.
