After a botched attempt to hide her eccentric past and radical ideas about the supernatural, Columbia University's ridiculed physicist Erin Gilbert now finds herself jobless. And as if that weren't enough, Erin must swallow her pride and bury the hatchet with dishonoured former partner Abby Yates.
