Role Models - Unrated & Rated (2008) [Rocksocker]

Thirty-somethings Danny and Wheeler work together as a team at Minotaur, an energy drink company, their main current jobs holding anti-drug campaigns at schools all in the true mission of promoting Minotaur as the chosen alternative, in Danny's mind it a barely legal drug. Adolescently-minded and female obsessed Wheeler, who acts as the mascot in wearing the Minotaur costume and considers Danny his only real friend, loves his job in being able to do it while he's drunk without anyone knowing the better. Danny, the spokesman who in turn doesn't consider Wheeler his friend, hates his job, it only a contributing factor to his increasing snarkiness. His girlfriend of seven years, lawyer Beth, breaking up with him in no longer being able to tolerate his seeming dislike of everything is the last straw for Danny in he having a breakdown of sorts, which results in he and Wheeler being sentenced to thirty days in jail. Instead of jail, Beth is able negotiate with the judge for one hundred fifty hours of community service apiece at Sturdy Wings, which pairs a "Big" (an adult) with a "Little" (a child) in a role model type situation. Gayle Sweeny, an ex-junkie who operates Sturdy Wings in what has been her transformation, is looking for any infraction to kick Danny and Wheeler out of the program, which would send them to jail. Danny is paired with geeky Augie, a friendless teen whose sole hobby is L.A.I.R.E. (Live Action Interactive Role-playing Explorers), a medieval fantasy LARP, which his mother and pseudo father do not want to encourage, while Wheeler is paired with Ronnie, a foul mouthed, boob obsessed ten year old African-American boy, whose previous Bigs have lasted no longer than a day in not knowing how to deal with him. While Danny and Wheeler go through the process in avoiding the alternative of jail, they have to find a way to get through to their respective Little, all the while not crossing either Gayle or the respective parent in they needing to make their one hundred fifty hours apiece.
