The graphic designer Michael "Mike" Danube leaves his two-month-pregnant wife Jennifer Danube at home to bring his best friend Chris Daniels, who is addicted in heavy drugs, to rehabilitation. He travels by car to the countryside and finds the drugged Chris shooting in imaginary birds with his pistol. Mike tries to convince Chris to go to rehab, but his friend is reluctant and prefers his life as it is. Out of the blue, Mike cuffs the arm of Chris to a metallic pipe and keeps him prisoner in his cabin to clean him up. Meanwhile, Chris is visited by his drug dealers that want the drugs he kept for them, but he does not recall where they are. Further, Chris has invaded an Indian Reservation, and the security guard Charles is bribed by Mike and gives five days for them to stay in the cabin. While walking around, weird things happen to Mike intriguing him and he becomes obsessed in investigating what is happening in the location.
