Women of the Resistance

France, 1944. A small proportion of the population resisted the German occupation. In the Vaucluse region, Mother Madeleine, the superior of an institute for young deaf girls, was one of the heroic women: she hid Jewish children and members of the French Resistance in her convent, in defiance of the danger.
