Looking for easy ways to make fast cash, down-on-her-luck Caroline sells her blood for 15 bucks to eke out an existence. But it is not enough. Unable to wait six long weeks for the next blood donation, desperate Caroline is tempted by the offer of more money to help a doctor test a highly experimental serum, only to suffer the consequences of an ill-advised decision. As a radical transformation occurs, the insatiable thirst for warm, bright-red human blood takes over, and everyone is a potential victim.
