When Will it Strike Noon

In an imaginary South-American dictatorship , Guadalarma, "Protector" Don Salvador is making it rough all over ;no quarter ,when you're a rebel,you're bound to be shot.Michel,mistaken for a revolutionary ,is thrown into jail ,waiting for his execution . His wife,Christine, desperately tries to save him from the fire squad .She bribes the fortress governor to help the prisoner escape .But there is a price to pay: diamonds ,which are hidden in their home in the country ,a long way from the town.
