Plot:

The lives of 9 women: Sandra/Elpidia Carrillo is 4½ months into her prison sentence. Diana/Robin Wright bumps into her ex in a supermarket. She hasn't seen him in years. They're both married but... Holly/LisaGay Hamilton drops in on an ex after years and talks with the daughter while waiting for him. Sonia/Holly Hunter and boyfriend start arguing again about pregnancy etc. while visiting another couple. Samantha/Amanda Seyfried talks with her parents about boyfriend, college admission, her childhood etc. Lorna/Amy Brenneman and her parents attend the funeral of her deaf ex's wife. Ruth/Sissy Spacek talks with her boyfriend on the way to and in his motel room. Camille/Kathy Baker is admitted to a hospital accompanied by her husband. Maggie/Glenn Close and her daughter visit a cemetery for her yearly visit of a grave.
