Asthmatic ingrate Amelie's positive father Bart and grumpy mother have a hard time raising her, so are relieved to send her to a special needs kids summer camp in South Tyrol. Bitching makes the loner the pranksters favorite target. Yet strong ginger Lukas somehow chooses to take her under his wing. Together they escape, determined to climb a mountain, despite their condition. Lukas saves her from every peril and achieves a strange friendship. The authorities and parents mount a full rescue with helicopter, yet they manage to reach the summit.
