Plot:

While a wedding is taking place in Chartres Cathedral, one of the witnesses is found dead in the crypt. The investigation is entrusted to Captains Victoire and Pierre Templard. The husband and wife police team soon realise that the murder is linked to the legend of the mysterious pregnant Virgin.
