Plot:
Mary/Lea Thompson married the sheriff/Judd Nelson at 18 and they now have 3 daughters in Bridgeville, Delaware. Her cupcakes have made her and her bakery popular in town. The small town has a 4 term mayor. However, this year one of Mary's daughters signs her up as a candidate in the forthcoming mayoral election in connection with a school project, forging her mom's signature. Mary lets it slide as a joke. However, before the mayor's 84% votes victory has been certified, he drops dead on one of Mary's cupcakes. Thus, Mary becomes the new mayor. She discovers that due to the corrupt previous mayor and his 2 associates, the town is now bankrupt. She works hard to get the town back on track with help from friends.
