After returning from a traumatic tour of duty in Afghanistan, marine lance-corporal Gabriel Drummer returns home to find his home city devastated by war. He desperately searches the ruins for his estranged wife Natalie, and young son, Johnny. Gabriel had enlisted in the U. S. Marines with his best friend Devin thinking they would kick some "terrorist ass", but now he faces the nightmares he thought he left behind in Afghanistan as well as a frantic search for his son.
