Plot:
Set in Paris during the Algerian War, Jean, a longtime schoolteacher secretly supporting the FLN, and his wife Mouche, who, unbeknownst to him, is also involved in the Algerian cause. Their marriage unravels under the weight of political tension. When Mouche is killed by members of the OAS during her clandestine activities, Jean is left devastated and alone. After the war, he embarks on a fragile new romance with Gemina, a young pied noir woman very different from his late wife. Despite their age gap and cultural differences, they fall deeply in love and briefly experience happiness-until the shadows of Jean's past resurface, bringing tragic consequences.
