Plot
Storyline
Riggs and Murtaugh are on the trail of South African diplomats who are using their immunity to engage in criminal activities.
Following the events of Lethal Weapon (1987), LAPD sergeants Martin Riggs and Roger Murtaugh are assigned to protect key witness Leo Getz from the ruthless South African diplomat, Arjen Rudd. But this time, the pair is neck-deep in trouble; Rudd is the corrupt Minister of Affairs for the South African consulate in Los Angeles. And after uncovering one million dollars' worth of South African Krugerrands, Riggs and Murtaugh must figure out how to infiltrate Rudd's stronghold. But nothing can prepare them for the exposure of a painful secret linked to Riggs' troubled past. However, the question remains: How will they keep Getz and themselves safe when their high-profile target is shielded by special diplomatic protection?
