Plot
Storyline
Two newly paired cops who are complete opposites must put aside their differences in order to catch a gang of drug smugglers.
Deep inside, Sergeant Roger Murtaugh, a grounded homicide detective with the LAPD and a Vietnam War veteran, knew this wasn't going to be a typical day at the office. After all, the first grey hair on his beard is a dead giveaway that he is not the same man he was when he joined the force. However, Captain Murphy insists on pairing him up with Officer Martin Riggs, a ticking time bomb with a death wish nobody wants to work with. As the mismatched duo investigates the seemingly straightforward Amanda Hunsaker Case, the death of a drug-addled adult film star suddenly drags them into the dangerous world of a heroin-trafficking cartel. Stuck with each other until a bullet separates them, the detectives must first learn to put up with each other before confronting the bad guys. But this is easier said than done. Can the only thing Riggs was ever good at help them solve the case?
