Prague, 1919. Mr Kafka, a solitary man leading a complex life, has been slaving away as a lowly clerk in the Workers and Accident Association, a chaotic state-run insurance company, for the past eight years and seven months. However, Kafka's true passion lies in writing novels during his free time. And then, one day, Eduard Raban, Kafka's only friend, vanishes into thin air.
