1968. With her illustrious career facing gradual decline since her heyday at Louis B. Mayer's Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios, Judy Garland, the universally loved American actress, singer and dancer, finds herself with her back to the wall. Nearly three decades after her portrayal of "Dorothy" in The Wizard of Oz (1939), Garland, now an exhausted single mother, reluctantly accepts an invitation from London impresario Bernard Delfont to perform a five-week concert series at the Talk of the Town nightclub.
