Johnny the Giant Killer (1950)

Johnny and some other boys are camping. He reads them a story about a giant, and they decide to climb a tree to look for it. They spot the giant's castle, and head over there. They enter through the front door, and are hauled in by a red carpet, to a sort of puzzle floor, which takes them to the giant's room. They see a number of wild beasts the giant has shrunk through a sort of trumpet, which he then sends the boys through. Johnny ends up in a bird cage, but is somehow hauled to a bird's nest, where he breaks out of the cage, only to get trapped in a spider web. He's rescued by a swarm of bees, which befriend him. He gets a tour of the hive and meets the queen, who presents him with a silver stinger. Johnny uses that in a swordfight with some evil insects that were around the queen. She's happy that he defeated them, and has a festival with carnival rides. While they are celebrating, the wasps return in force, stealing the babies and honey. Johnny fights the wasps, trapping them in honey as he had been accidentally trapped earlier. The leader wasp is fed to the spider. The next day, Johnny finally remembers his imprisoned friends, and the entire insect kingdom mobilizes to free them. They send the giant through his shrinking trumpet, and Johnny and his friends jump into a boot, which returns them to normal size. They leave, pulling the caged giant behind them as a trophy.
