Muthuvel Pandian a retired Jailer lives with his wife Vijaya,son Inspector Arjun,daughter in law Swetha and grandson Rithvik.Arjun is investigating the case of stolen idols conducted by smuggler Varma.He manages to nab his aide Senu and is about to solve the case but goes missing and is termed dead.Muthuvel blames himself for Arjun's death as he raised him as an honest and fearless cop and decides to take matters in his hand and firstly kills Senu.He then takes help of reformed criminal Narshimha who gives him his four powerful men as a back up support.Muthuvel then starts to blackmail Varma who with the help of another gangster Kamdev sends a gang to kill Muthuvel who overcomes everyone.Varma then calls Kamdev saying that Muthuvel has overpowered his men Kamdev who was also a reformed criminal revels that years back how Muthuvel (Tiger) was a Jailer in Tihar jail and was ruthless towards criminals which helped many like him to transform.
