In Hamburg, the Turkish drug-dealer Nuri Sekerci is released from prison after serving four-years. He immediately marries the German Katja Sekerci and opens a translation office since he graduated in Administration while in prison. They have a six-year-old son, Rocco, and they are a happy family. One afternoon, Katja borrows his car to meet her pregnant friend, Birgit, and while going to the car, she sees a woman parking a bicycle near Nuri's office without lock. She calls her attention and says that her bicycle could be robbed, but the woman does not pay attention to her. Katja spends the afternoon with Birgit and when she returns to take Nuri and Rocco home, she learns that a home-made bomb exploded and killed her husband and son. Katja becomes depressed and uses drugs and suspect that it was the neo-Nazis that killed her beloved ones. They are arrested and go to trial, but there is a ring of Nazis to protect them.
