IDI: Inspector Dawood Ibrahim

Dawood Ibrahim, the ambitious son of a wealthy Muslim cleric, dreams of becoming a police officer despite opposition from his traditional family. After becoming an IPS officer, he hopes to gain fame by tackling high-profile crime, but is mistakenly posted to a sleepy border village called Kollanahalli, where crime is virtually nonexistent. Frustrated, Dawood fakes a robbery using three local fools to create his own "case." But things spiral out of control when the trio betrays him and flees with the money. At the same time, a real bank heist takes place across the Karnataka border, involving a red box linked to dangerous underworld don Akbar Ali. By chance, Dawood recovers the box and a phone left at a crash site, only to receive a call from Akbar himself. Realizing he's stumbled upon a major case, Dawood teams up with both groups of thieves to bring down Akbar and his gang. In a final showdown, Dawood defeats Akbar Ali, earning national recognition and finally achieving the heroic status he always desired.
