I See You

The dysfunctional Harper family lives in a comfortable house in the suburbs, but is facing relationship problems. The psychologist Dr. Jackie Harper and her husband, Detective Gregory "Greg" Harper, are estranged to each other since Jackie had a love affair and their teenage son Connor is rebel with his mother. When the ten-year-old Justin Whitter disappears, Greg is assigned to lead the investigation with his partner, Det. Spitzky, and the green pocketknife is the only available evidence. They believe it is a copycat since fifteen years ago, a man named Cole Gordon abducted several kids, but he is imprisoned. Now Gordon is claiming mistrial. Suddenly, mysterious things happen in the Harper's house: the silverware goes missing; a repairman enter the house to repair the window broken by Greg and tells Jackie that her daughter let him in; Greg is trapped in a closet and believes it was Connor, but he is not at home and Jackie frees him. Out of the blue, Jackie's former lover, Todd, visits her wanting to proceed with their love affair, but is hit by an object on the head. Jackie believes Connor hit him and hides Todd in the basement to take him to the hospital later since she has to drive Connor to the school. Meanwhile, Todd is murdered in the basement and Jackie believes it was Connor. Greg and she bury Todd in the woods to protect Greg. Meanwhile Connor finds the missing silverware wrapped in clothes in the laundry machine. When Greg and Jackie return home, they find Connor tied up in the bathtub with a green pocketknife, and Jackie drives Connor to the hospital. What is happening in the Harper's house?
