Grieving miniature artist Annie Graham and her family prepare for Ellen Leigh's funeral--her unbearably complex and cryptic septuagenarian mother. But Annie is oblivious to her 13-year-old daughter Charlie's mounting distress and the relentless anguish of culpability her older brother, Peter, begins to feel. As unsettling occurrences emerge in the dark corners of their secluded home, a sinfully pleasant sense of relief and guilt descends upon them. As a result, a sinister presence robs Annie of her free will, demanding a cruel sacrifice in exchange for glorious rewards.
