For Detective Joseph Thorne, an inquisitive officer for the Denver Police Department, hard facts and solid evidence are all that matter. Everything else is a distraction. However, no two cases are the same. Obsessed with ferreting out The Engineer, a brutal serial killer responsible for a spate of ritualistic murders, Thorne is unaware that, in the process, this investigation is about to bring out the worst in him. Once, blood and death were banal aspects of his profession. Now, a labyrinth of impossible possibilities lures Thorne into a different hell; whether he likes it or not, he must see the error of his ways and face his ugly self. But what if the truth lies beyond the tight confines of what we perceive as reality? What if hedonism, corruption, and extreme sadism have trapped Joseph in the Hellraiser Inferno forever and ever?
