The opportunity arises when the vain misogynist J. P. Monroe strikes a dark bargain with the imprisoned Hell Priest; the more victims he provides, the greater the pleasures he will receive. Meanwhile, ambitious television reporter Joey Summerskill is determined to uncover the truth behind Monroe and the mysterious mass killings at the Boiler Room Club. Instead, she finds herself drawn into a haunting dream that opens a passage to another reality and the gateway to the underworld. What she does not know is that Pinhead intends to seal that door forever. Now, only the intricate Lament Configuration has the power to lure the demon into his own destruction. The question is, who will stand in his way and prevent the emergence of hell on earth?
