In Finland, the middle-class family of the gymnast Tinja seems to be perfect in the Vlog of her mother. However, she is an overbearing mother that forces Tinja to overwork in the gymnastics to win competitions; her husband is a cuckold, and she cheats him with the handyman Tero; and her son Matias is envious of the attention his mother gives to Tinja. When the next-door girl Reetta befriends Tinja, her mother becomes jealous since Reetta is better gymnast than Tinja. One afternoon, a crow enters the living room of the family and breaks many objects, but Tinja captures the bird with a towel. However, her mother breaks its neck and Tinja drops the bird in the garbage can. Later, she finds that the bird was not dead, and she is forced to kill the crow to put it out of its misery. She finds an egg nearby the crow and brings it home. She notes that the egg grows incubated below her pillow and inside a teddy bear later but soon the egg hatches into a bizarre bird-like creature. Tinja raises and is connected to the creature that is her alter-ego for evil desires that Tinja hides in her apparent perfect world.
