Gordon and Paddy

When squirrel Valdemar reports theft from his nut stash, toad detective Gordon investigates. The cop finds mouse Paddy took a nut, but forest law exempts satisfying once hunger, so the rodent is spared and even recruited as rookie deputy. Although a carnivore, the generally g-feared fox becomes their prime suspect, so they set a trap, with confusing results. Gordon wanted to retire, so he instates the mouse. Then lots of kids go missing, so Gordon returns to tackle the heavy case together.
