Plot:
Tom is happily married with Abbey, who is pregnant, and has created the prototype of a machine that can explore recollections of another person, with the intent to help people to have better lives seeing the cause of their problems. Their friend Richard is looking for investors since Tom needs funds to complete the machine. Richard accepts money from an unknown investor, who presses for a demonstration of the machine. Tom and his assistant Garrett are forced to agree although the machine is not complete. Soon they learn that the investor is from the Department of Corrections that wants the machine to find memories from convicts to prove that they are guilty. They bring the drug addicted Anthony, who is the suspect of killing his girlfriend Adrienne. Anthony volunteers as a guinea pig expecting to prove his innocence. Tom enters in Anthony's memory and finds an incomplete memory showing Anthony killing Adrienne. However, the machine fails, and Tom is unable to leave Anthony's memories. Four years later, Tom continues trapped in Anthony's memories and his body is in coma. He watches over and over Anthony's memories and out of the blue, Anthony sees him in one memory, and they communicate to each other. Now Tom sees the chance to communicate with Abbey and return to his body.
