Plot:
An evil old man, Andres, is the owner of an old building where very poor people live. He wants to demolish the building, and gives the people a few hours to evacuate, but they confront him and refuse to leave their homes. Andres looks for help and finds it in Pedro, a tough, strong, and rude man, but not quite clever. Andres hires him to bully the people and make them leave the building. Meanwhile, Pedro works in a butcher shop alongside Andres' attractive wife Paloma, who is attracted to Pedro. One night, Pedro is making a tour of the building threatening people, and he fights with a man to dares to face up to him, but Pedro accidentally kills him and escapes and hides with Paloma, who is now his lover. Meche, the murdered man's daughter, is a charming and pretty girl; she helps Pedro escape from the angry neighbors. Pedro falls in love with Meche and offers his home to her. Meche starts to have feelings for the naive but "brutal" man--without knowing that he's her father's murderer.
