Not knowing what to expect, the World War I veteran and renowned trick rider, Holt Farrier, returns to the financially hard-pressed Medici Brothers' Circus. Shocked to discover that nothing will ever be the same again, Holt finds himself caring for the elephants, and in particular, Mrs Jumbo's precious newborn boy, Dumbo: a mistreated infant ridiculed for his outstanding, floppy, and oversized ears. Before long, after Dumbo's phenomenal debut, the peculiar pachyderm with the doleful blue eyes catches the attention of the famous amusement park tycoon, V.A. Vandevere, and the French aerial artist, Colette Marchant. But, now that the secret has come to light, the thirst for success takes over, and somehow, there is more to Vandevere, and his spectacular Dreamland theme park, than meets the eye. Will Dumbo, the extraordinary baby-elephant, believe in himself, and spread his wings?
