A woman named Mrs. Kolbein receives a phone call from the police at dawn saying that she should stay locked in her room since two dangerous men are inside her house, where she is alone with her daughter. When she overhears noise outside the room, she becomes nervous since her daughter is not with her and she accidentally drops her cellphone below her bed. The caller says that it was a prank. The teenagers Sam Fuller, Brady Mannion, Jeff Mosley and Roy "PrankMonkey69" celebrate the cruel prank, since they posted it and received many likes, going viral. When Sam is home alone, missing his ex-girlfriend Peyton Grey that works delivering pizza, his best friend Brady visits him. The pranksters decide to play pranks, including to his neighbor Larry. Out of the blue, the mysterious Mr. Lee calls them asking they to not hang up on him. After successive phone calls, they learn that Mr. Lee knows everything about them and they give attention to him. Further, he is holding Brady's parents captive, in the beginning of a tense night of revelations and terror.
