Plot:
A bittersweet account of the toll distance and time takes on a relationship. John Tyree, a soldier in the US Army, meets good-girl Savannah Curtis while on leave. They spend two weeks together before she returns to school and he returns to duty. Their relationship flourishes through letters until 9/11, when John decides to re-enlist. Savannah cannot take all this time apart, and she falls in love with a familiar face back home. John returns home after a family emergency, and faces life without Savannah, until finally they have hope for a future together.
