Just a Breath Away

Sarah, the daughter of scientists Anna and Mathieu, suffers from a rare immune disorder and is therefore forced to live in an isolated oxygen chamber. While Mathieu regularly travels the world in search of new treatment methods for Sarah, Anna prioritizes the limited time she has with her daughter. Without warning, Paris is shaken by a severe earthquake that releases a toxic fog, which initially engulfs the metropolis only up to a certain height. Mathieu and Anna find refuge in their apartment building with the elderly couple Lucien and Colette in the attic, while Sarah must remain in her chamber, protected from the fog. Sarah's parents are soon forced to venture outside to run errands and keep Sarah's isolation cabin running. Due to the state of emergency, chaos reigns in the streets of Paris. When the fog suddenly begins to rise again, Mathieu and Anna must abruptly prepare to evacuate themselves and Sarah.
